Privacy policy
Who we are
RecomendaLibros is a literary recommendation service run by IGD from Spain. Our mission is to help readers find their next favourite book without sharing personal data with advertisers.
What data we collect
Using the app does not require an account. If you create one, we store your email, a hashed password (bcrypt), your optional name, your recommendation history and your feedback (likes/dislikes). If you opt in to monthly recommendations, we also store that preference.
How we use your data
We use your data exclusively to: (1) deliver personalised recommendations, (2) remember your read books and feedback, (3) send you the monthly digest if enabled, (4) improve the recommendation engine in aggregate. We never sell or share data with third parties.
Cookies and tracking
We use a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (auth_token, httpOnly). For anonymous analytics we use PostHog with IP anonymization. We do not use ad cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, export or delete your data at any time. You can opt out of the monthly email with a single click from any email we send you, or by writing to us via the contact page.
Third-party services
We use Anthropic (Claude) for recommendations, Resend for email, Stripe for payments, OpenLibrary and OpenStreetMap for public book and bookshop data. Each has its own privacy policy.
